The 2nd time I did it I took stripped everything out including the passenger seat out, the spare tire. That knocked a amazing 4/100th of a second off

Jim, I wonder why some people have installed 4.10's and gained 1-3 tenths then other people swear that they have gained nothing? I know JL is currently running 4.10's but who knows. I just installed my 4.10's and my truck feels a lot stronger in the mid-range but then again how something feels doesn't always equal a reduction in ET.
Brian,
I could see you gaining a tenth or two if the truck is lightly modded. In JL's case he can get away with 4:10's because of the bigger supercharger. With the stock supercharger spinning as hard as we can I could tell you I lost a solid tenth.
4.10's were more then likely gonna be my next mod. Especially since i run the 20's on the street. What you think jim and how long for an install 3-4 hours ?
Yes, the install is 3-4 hours. With the taller tires that would be a good decision to go witht he 4:10's.
You guys arent running more aggressive timing at the track with race fuel? 16 degrees is it? Wow
Actually it's 16 degrees when the intercooler temperature is below 100 degrees. Because I do not run a powercooler I'm about a 120 degrees so by the time I reach the end of the quarter mile which makes the timing 14 degrees. After 100 degrees the computer pulls out 1 degree of timing for every 10 degrees of air charge. This is a street tune that I am running.
