Rear end,speedo,and tire ????

I have a 99 i'm fixing it has a bent rear end i want to run 20' on it .When i fix the rear end can i put 4:10s in it and not have to do anything so far as the speedo goes ,it has 3:55s in it now Also is a F-150 rear end the same as a lightning ,so that i can use the houseing. I know we have bigger brakes and stuff .Any help or info will be nice Thanks guys Oh heres a pic of it ,i'm painting it the color of my cobra Thanks

here is a neat tire and wheel size calc that you can also plug in some different rear end gears, and it will show you changes in speedo and odometer. http://www.c5-corvette.com/tirecalc.htm

There's 2 different rear ends used in the f-150's. If you're going to use parts off of one, make sure you get the 9.75 rear axle, which is the same size as the lightnings. Your best bet would be to find a complete rear axle from a ford expedition, since they have the same brakes, etc..., and can be found with a limited slip and 3.73's

You will have to reset the speedo for the 20's and 4:10's also. this can be done with a chip. Anything else you need to know?

What happens if you don't use a chip. i thought if you go to 20s and as long as you used a tire not too much taller it would not have a bad effect
