After my 02 foglamps cracked, I had them replaced under warranty with 03 style foglights. These new foglamps do not have the little diffuser cover inside. Since that, I have installed a true HID kit in the fogs. They are so bright, that I'm thinking that they need that little diffuser cap to stop the glare that the oncoming traffic must be experiencing.
Could someone who has an 01 or 02 with the diffused foglights measure how far it is from the base (or back) of the foglight assembly to the inside front of the diffuser cap? This will tell me if the HID bulb will fit because it is much longer than a stock bulb.
If they will fit, I will be in the market for a set of diffused foglight assemblies.
