New MagnaFlow exhaust installed.

MagnaFlow makes the best looking exhaust that I have ever seen. The muffler is like a mirror, the tips are like brushed mirrors with a nice logo on them, and the tubes are nice mandrel SS pieces. Getting the old exhaust off made use of my PortaPower and 2 straps. It actually went fairly well. I was worried about the exhaust because of my JLP traction bars. Now I actually have a couple extra inches of clearance. They fit right up. Only complaint about fit is that the tips are in the exact stock location. I would have liked an extra 1/4 inch out to show off the logos, because they are so sweet looking.

When I first fired it up it seemed a little mellow. So I revved it for a second and was very pleased. I put away the tools, took a shower, and went for a long ride. This is exactly what I've been looking for. No resonnation at any speeds, real mellow during cruise, and it really opens up when your foot goes down. And it's probably in my head, but the truck feels real responsive at light throttle.

I highly recommend this as a first mod.

I'll try to post a few pics here later tonight.

Nice evaluation. The kit sounds real promising. I cant wait to hear it on someones truck. I hope someone can get a before/after dyno of this cat back to see if these outlandish claims of hp increases are even remotely true.

I have my silver bullet tips sticking out. I can probably clip someone's legs off with em if I really wanted to. -Mat-

I bought the system from S.B.D.Muffler Co. (949) 760-5070, I talked with Larry. This system retails for 583.35. He sells them for 477.75 + shipping.

I never time my installs. Seems that it always takes me 2x longer than most people, but I am a perfectionist. Anyways I would guess a couple of hours.

I would do a clip, but have no mic. I'll look around for 1.

Went for another ride with the wife. I just love this mod. It has a cool tight sound to it. Really sweet. On the highway with cruise set, their is barely a difference and absolutely no resonance. Then pass somebody. Yea baby!

Can't wait to go to work tomorrow!

Just an update. Yesterday it was raining when I took it out. Today I tried it out at WOT on semi dry pavement. This thing REALLY opens up. It also has a big block sound to it. I wonder how much of it is because the X Pipe is further down than any other system? In any event I couldn't be happier.

I went for a ride in air1kdf's truck yesterday after lunch(we work at the same place) and the magnaflow does sound pretty awesome. Its nice and quiet at cruising speeds, but when you get on it, it screams. I am seriously considering ordering one myself, but I want to hear the silver bullit and the bassani before I make my final decision.
