Another L deuced out a plug!!!

I took my L out of storage and went to the dealer to get a fuel filter and see if I could get one of those black plugs for the back bumper where a ball hitch would go. They had no idea what I was talking about. Walking back to my truck I saw a black L with a really cool black trailer next to it and Mass. plates (im in NY). I went and looked to see if this L had one of those plugs and it did. I told the service guy that the black L had one. Turns out that this L was on its way home from Daytona with a trailer full of bikes and it decided to spit out #3. The owner had it towed to the closest SVT dealer and traded it in. The only good part of the story is that the service guy removed the plug that I was seeking and gave it to me.

Used to be in Pearl River, now in Blauvelt just down the road from the Ford dealer.

I hope you didn't buy your L there. That guy is a crook!

Yes, I did. I didnt get raped on the price and they gave me a better APR then my bank was going to give me. My bank is USAA and they give great rates to vets so I was surprised that Ford credit beat it.

And their service dept has always done solid by me.

The only complaint I have is that when I picked the truck up my salesman didnt go over the truck to well and let me leave without the CD changer. No biggie though.

I live right in West Nyack, lets get together sometime and rip the roads up.

If you ever need another one, it is a "hitch plug", and it usually goes on an Expy.

They usually look at you funny when you ask for one, until you show them on a computer part sheet.

It is a $5.00 part...

I beleive they only come in Blk BTW...

Their service dept. kept jerking me around when the stereo in my old L was bad, then I ordered two other cars from them and they tried to screw me on both when they came in.

I would never go there again.

Anyway, I don't live in Rockland anymore (just work there) so the L doesn't get up there much anymore.

Maybe if the winter ever ends, I'll bring it to work once in a while again.
