Mustang dyno vs Dynojet??

Why does a Mustang chasis dyno 1750 with load absorbtion, HP numbers so much lower than DynoJet numbers??
Is it safe to say that a tuner can give an owner a better tune on a Dyno that simulates a load with Load absorption than a DynoJet without loading capability??

Thanks

Collins8, give Paul at Razor's Edge Motorsports a call at (954) 917-9200. He can answer any question you have about a Mustang Dyno

well to answer your question yes a mustang dyne is the closest thing to realworld loads. you can actually simulate a 1/4 pass on it of course it wont account for wheel spin but will load the whole pass as if it was truly on a pass. most places wont do that though lots of wear and tear.

Dyno Dynamics, another Eddy Current Dyno can also
load a certain program for you. Like a complete road
course with hills and all.

Pretty sweet stuff.....

Because those DynoJet numbers are not REAL world horsepower?

the load bearing dyno's will give you a more real world tune

thats why people who are obsessed with an "almighty dyno number" get out there from their dynojet tune and blow their engine

I recently bought a predator [switched over from Diablo Delta chip] and went to a local shop for a Dyno tune.
I have Dyno'ed several times before with two different Dynojet Dyno's.Pretty much all the "bolt-on" Mods.Dynojet #'s were..
409 RWHP 512RWTQ-Several pulls all in that range.
406 RWHP 536rWTQ- mobile Dynojet @ FFW
These #'s were with the Flip chip [Race Side 101 octane]
Since then i've gotten my blower Ported and it feels much stronger.

Preadator #'s on a Mustang Dyno were..
367 RWHP 467 RWTQ A/F was 11.7 max.
This was with Predators "pulley Tune"
The Tuner was amazed with these #'s and said he could not hope for much better if he played with it for 2-3hrs.
He also told me that these #'s would be about 20% higher on a Dynojet Dyno.
That would get me 440/540 range.
It's hard to tell a SOTP difference, but from what i'm reading I may have LOST some HP with the Predator.
If that's true should i get someone to write me a "custom" Program??
I'm going to the track Fri. and don't want to run slower than before.

BTW I did Datalog a little this A.M. and the Predator is putting in 18* timing ,91 octane pump gas ,no detonation.
Thanks for any help!

the average is between 8 and 12 percent usually as the difference,

lidio did tests on 4 different dyno's on the same day last year for 5.0 , 2 dyno jets and 2 md dyno's

I can answer all your dyno questions with this one statement.

E.T.'s TALK and DYNOS WALK or something.

I am more interested in my E.T.s as well.
I'm just thinking if the "real" correction factor from Mustang to Dynojet is 8-12%,I DID lose power with the Predator tune and E.Ts will suffer.
I'm going to the track Fri,maybe i'll switch back and forth between the Predator and the Delta Chip. That should give me a real world comparison.
