Trying to get a straight answer out of my dealership, and not having much luck.

On your 03, is the flashing LED alarm indicator located under the dash, or in the instrument cluster? Is it the alarm that disables the starter etc, if you try to brute force it or use an incorrectly coded key?

 

Factory alarm uses console alarm . If you have an external led located under the dash, thats an after market unit. On mine, the LED is blue and ties in with the factory system. Its quite nice.

 

My theft light in the dash display still works and I did not disable my PATS. I just have an Alpine system with its own LED on the A-pillar...
