correct part # for supercharger oil?

i bought some supercharger oil from the ford place today..
E9SZ-19577-A it was $15 before tax.

the invoice just has XL-4 on it for the part number.. odd

red & white bottle labeled "Ford Synthetic Supercharger Fluid" says on the bottle "designed, engineered, and recommended by ford"
i thought eaton made the fluid?

on the back it says that the fluid is to "top off" the supercharger fluid level in 3.8L engines..

did i get the right stuff???

Brooks,

Yes, you did get the right stuff. You will however need another bottle because your blower will use about a bottle and a half. You have to fill it up right until it reaches the drain plug hole.

Hope this helps,

If you have a Pontiac dealer nearby, just go buy the oil there. It's like $6 a bottle. It's just labeled supercharger oil...same stuff.

Or you can goto a Buivk dealer, there park avenue's use the Eaton M-90, and that is what was on the 3.8L supercharger ford engines, I got some for my grandpa for 2 bottles for $10, but it might have been a special.

I have 45,600 miles on my 01 L so I thought it was time to change it. I just got two bottles from a Pontiac dealer. He said the Chevy dealer should have it too(?). Btw, mine cost $8/bottle.
