engine bogging??

i got a problem hoping you guys could help me out. When i put the truck on 2nd going at about 40mph and i stomp on it it boggs on me. Same thing when i take the overdrive off at about 65 and floor it, it does the same thing. The psi dosn't change from normal when it does this so it's not the supercharger belt slipping. But when i take off from 0mph and floor it it doesn't do this, it works fine. Only when it's in 2nd or 3rd. Also if i'm going about 40 and floor it and drops from 4th to 2nd it works fine, same with dropping from 4th to 3rd. That's why i'm confused as to what it could be. Maybe need new air filter or fuel filter? Took out a couple plugs and they looked fine, no corrosion at all. I'm stumped. I really appreciate any ideas you guys could give me.

thanks

My mods are:

8lb lower (15psi boost)
accufab throttle body
MAC cold air kit
Diablo chip tuned by JLP

I would say it's boost dump...First to 2nd and falls flat sounds like it's just dumping boost... Did you do the boost bypass or unplug it?

Over the weekend me and another L buddy went to the track and ran his stock 01.. He took off spinning, tried to come out of it a bit and once it went to second he had a surge in power...1st pass ran a 15.2.. We bypassed his boost dump by unpluging that relay and no more bogging and he ran a 13.9

My truck did almost the same thing it was the little tin can looking thing on the left side of the supercharger.

Just my 2 cents.

the tin can thing (iac) only controls idle situations i believe, so i dont think that would have anything to do with bogging down from a 40 roll. someone correct me if im wrong?

cp is correct. It's not the IAC valve. A dirty/worn one only causes idle rpm surging/stalling--only when at idle(or approaching idle rpm).
