Anyone know how to get the threaded black studs on rear QA1's
off so the Heim joints can be put on? The jam nut comes loose
but the stud won't budge. Do you have to drill two new holes
in the heim joint mount? Or can you just use the bolt in the
center? I'd rather not drill, but it seems like it might move around
if you mount the center bolt. Thanks for any help.

 

I can't remember how I got the studs off, but I don't recall it being a huge problem.

I clamped the mounts with some c-clamps, then drilled 4 holes for 1/4" bolts with locknuts. Well worth the effort. With just one bolt, the mounts might spin.

 

Thanks Tim, I got them last night. Just had to really put some
muscle to them and they came off. Can't wait to try them. Hope
they're worth it!
