Bad Blower bearings?

maybe its because I haven't heard my truck in 5 months but the blower sounds weird at idle, its making a high pitch whistling type sound(no its not the throttle body) but It almost sounds similar to that. I have taken my blower apart before, but it seemed that the bearings had plenty of grease on them(the blue stuff) so I just duct taped over the bearing holes to keep it clean and didn't add anymore grease to them. what does a bad blower bearing sound like???

Does it still make the sound once it gets up to operating temperature?

My blower was making a wierd noise the last few times I took her out, but once everything was warmed up and ready to go I had no noise.

It might be a bearing on one of your idlers.

yes it makes it at operating temp, I doubt its the idlers I just cleaned and repacked them with new grease. I'm now paranoid that there wasn't enough grease on the inner bearings(where the blue grease is for those who have taken there blower apart). it almost sounds like its coming from the snout. there is more than enough fluid in the snout if anyone was wondering. maybe its normal, and its b/c I havent heard it in so long.

Maybe the snout then? If you cover the rear bearings then they should be fine.

That sounds like how my snout sounded last year. I don't know how to fix it, but the rotor pack seemed loose. I just bought a new supercharger. It would make a whistle sound at idle, but when you lowered the rpm(go to reverse or forward with the brake on) it would stop. I hope that helps...
