My other project...

Thought somebody might be interested in seeing one of my other projects. I'm in the process of putting a large single turbo on the big block and am pretty excited about it. Should scoot along pretty good . Any body else have older cars in the garage?

I'm building a '72 GTO for the track. 400 inch PONTIAC motor, .060 over and will eventually have a B&M 8-71 blower

Here she is now, waiting for me to get through my lightning phase and get back to working on her:

LatemodelRacer2, I'd be happy to show you the cars and even take you for a spin in the Vette. Scares the crap out of most people being that there is no top and they are surround by just fiberglass. Deathmachine has been said more than once .

PhillipSVT, ya I have big plans for the CJ. But it's off to a slow start, still mostly stock. Runs great though.

brap, nice GTO.

Mark_2kl, looks like we have the same taste. Lightnings, C3s, and a Jeeps.

This is a Specialized Big Hit DH frame with a Fox Vanilla RC shock in the back that provides 8.1 inches of travel to soak up the big hits. Probably going with a Marzochhi JRT in the front with 170mm of travel.

Once built it probably do the 1\4 mile in about 60 secs.

Sorry, I wanted to join in on the fun but dont have sweet rides like you cats.

Brap,

I noticed your GTO has a 'Pontiac' emblem in the grille and not a 'GTO' emblem. Is it a LeMans Sport or a GTO with the wrong grille? What color is it- Monarch Yellow or Brittany Beige?

I love GTO's (except for the '73, '74 and new '04). I had several in the '80's and '90's, including a '69 Ram Air III Judge. Nowhere near as quick as the L, but still a blast to drive.

wow, i'm surprised you noticed, most people know very little about Pontiacs. Yes as a matter of fact it is just a '72 Lemans Sport with the ram air hood, and surprisingly it even came with that Endura front end (which is rare for the LeMans). I am buidling a racecar out of her and saved it from rusting away at some guys farm. When its all done it will be a GTO clone race car. I just couldnt bring my self to cut up a true GTO, so I took then next best route. I'm actually on the lookout for a real '71 or '72 GTO for street driving as we speak

OMG you had a '69 Judge! I am jellous now! I love that car.

I used to have a '74 GTO i drove through HS, and it was nothing more than a rebadged Ventura, even had the same wimpy 350 motor, '72 was definitly the last year for the GTO as far as I'm concerned.
