Just got a call from Mrinaldi (Mike) from the track....YYsenhimer (Paul) is gunning for King of the Hill at today's event!! Details are sketchy because I was on my cell phone and reception was crap, coupled with the fact that I have no idea how these events work ..but Mike definitely said Paul is gunning for the finals!!

Details to follow!!

How it works is you go 4 rounds win or lose.
0 wins = no trophy.
If you win 1 round you get a small trophy,2 rounds a bigger, 3 rounds even bigger, and 4 rounds even bigger yet also you go into the King of the Hill with other 4 round winners.

Isn't that Trophy Marathon?

Today was Street Wars right?

I'm guessing if he was going for King of the Hill....YYsenhimer must have won his class and was competing with the winners of the other classes to see who was top dog for the day.

Congrats Paul

Wish I was there.

It was Street Wars. I think the car he was competing with was another Outlaw Street car. It was a '73 Mustang with a 429. The woman was cutting .500 lights and running 12.00 aaaaaall day long.

Thanks guys! Yeah it was Street Outlaw and I was runner up in my class. If I would have beat Debbie then I would have gone to King of the Hill. It took six rounds to get to the finals because of all of the cars. I was cutting low .500 lights all day and made it into the finals on a bye run (because of low reaction time of the previous round). The round before me, she raced against a 2000 Vette. He cut a .509 light and she cut a .500 light.

VERY COLD DAY though hanging out all day. It was like 50 for awhile and then it cooled off and the wind kicked up. By night, it was in the low 30's and we were all chilled. Especially when they took an hour to clean oil up off of the entire left lane. Ran my new best time on the first pass with limited traction 12.27 . Every other pass was inconsistant (besides RT) so it was hard to dial in.

This is the last Import type race I am going to though. Between the blasting music, the burnout contest, side races (all of that in the pits), and the a$$ holes there, our patience was low. Luckily there were only 6 ricers in our class.

Oh, and don't forget about the factory freak L!. He made it to the finals I think too.

I will post some pics later when the forum codes are working again.

Oh yeah man....Cool pics...I didn't realize that I smoked the chit out of the F1's like that...There goes another thousand miles up in smoke....Your truck was running like a raped ape, that full meal deal exhaust sounded great at the back of the track...Too bad that traction went south by the end of the night because of the falling temps...I think if we were at Atco, a 12.0xx or 11.9xx would have defenitely lit up on the board....Anyway, we had a great time even though Dawn and I were freezing our butts off by the end of the night, but runner-up and $250 and too shabby in my book especially for E-town...Try not to make any plans for this weekend, Atco trip maybe??
