Upper Pulley

I have an SVT engine that has an upper pulley that measures (using a digital micrometer) 3.440" over the flanges and 3.160" over the belt ribs.

This doesn't seem to match any of the numbers I have seen on either this or the HD forum.

Can anybody offer any insight?

Upper Pulley Sizes

Stock ~ 2.93
2# ~ 2.80

Use a ruler like the rest of the world and re-measure it.
And what does that mean I have a SVT Engine ???? There's only 3 SVT Supercharged motors (if it's an 03), (and only two if it's an 02).
Is it a Cobra Motor, Lightning Motor, or Harley Motor
Sounds like you got a Harley Motor

I used a micrometer because in a previous post I wrote that I measured it with a steel rule and got 3 7/16" and was asked the 'exact' measurement.

The engine is supposed to be a 2002 HD but the pulley doesn't match what the 'experts' say it should be there either.

The HD pulley is a little larger than the 293mm of the L. Not sure how much. 3.16mm sounds about right though.

Like Odin's saying, the HD's have a larger Pulley (along with a differant S/C shaft). Thats why I said, it sounds like a Harley Motor.
What are you looking to put it in ?

got any picture's of the motor ?

A HD owner will read this and go measure theirs with a Ruler and post an answer ??

Actually, the snout pulley for both the Cobra and the Harley are larger than the Lightning's. I assumed you had a Harley and were worried you had the wrong pulley on it. does it have four valve heads?

The size pulley you are mentioning sound like the pulley on the 03 cobra. Does the supercharger say eton on the face of it or does it say SVT?
Peace, Suavy
