ss vs the L
ss vs the L
Was out last night cruising around on the strip. When i see this what looks to be 99-02 Camaro SS. Well we give it a little whirl at about 30mph and i hang with him then he starts to pull hard. Then i see him go by the turnaround and keep heading out towards the highway. So me and my friend decide what the hell? So we follow him and then we get beside him and take off at about 30-35mph again this time and we hang with him up til he switches gears and he is out i mean he pulled like 4 car lengths on us all the way up too 120mph. Was this a stock ss i highly doubt it but my buddy keeps telling me it is. I just cant see him whoopin up on my stock l that bad even if it is stock. I tried to find the guy again and get him to pull over and talk but i never could find him.
If your stock, it's very possible that he is, too. Driven correctly they are mean vehicles. My '99 SS used to embarass '99-'00 Ls badly before I traded to the L. Throw some modifications at the L and things even up pretty quickly.
Race him from a dead stop and it will be alot closer, you are racing from a roll which a stock SS with good driver will pull a stock L easily. Most stock L's trap around 100-102mph and most stock 6-speed SS's will trap 105-107mph which is why he is pulling you from a roll.
