my idea

i've been hooked on the idea of creating a smaller intercooler fluid cooling device then the powercoolers that you have to mount under the hood and rearrange the engine bay..

Something like the size of a thermos. Input comming from the reservoir. Coil running around the the perimiter of the "thermos" to the bottom where the output to the i/c would be. Fill cover at the top for ice/water. Drain at the bottom with a drain tube. Nice bracket to mount right in there. Idea is to fill the "thermos" with ice water, which the coil tubing will be saturated in. Same kinda idea as the power cooler but much smaller. The hard part is too make it as effecient as possible.

Other idea would be to modify the i/c reservoir so you could a nice little ice pocket in the center to drop some ice into.

Here's my idea, run with it. If this is interesting to you, i can send you a rough sketch.

I think if you go any smaller than the powercooler it would melt the ice too quickly. On a hot day, mine will melt my supercooler in about 10 minutes...even with some cool down time on the motor first.

What about a way to cool the intake charge by routing an A/C line?
