Angry Fog lenses cracked

Well it finally happened. Now both lenses are cracked and one light burned out.

How many others have this problem and has anyone had luck with warranty?

Also, what non-stock lamps should I use?

Thanks

Mine cracked too. My corners get condensation too. I have to hit the dealer soon to get them replaced.

I've got the new style lights and so far so good. They are just a new style you don't have to say 2003 style......but yea hopefully they don't hassle you about it. I've got good luck with my dealer, maybe its cause I just ask for the parts and I do the work myself.

On my FIFTH set of warranty replacements (Pat, you're not
going to the right dealer!!! <grin> )

Seriously, were there rock chips all around your facia? Did the
d00d actually run a fingernail along the outside of the lense?

If you did that to mine, they were SMOOTH, but star cracked in
a million little pieces. Obviously NOT rock damage, and the
service manager agreed. And so does FORD.

Keep 'em on the toes, guys ... Specially during the first 12,000
cause just about anything is fixed then.

Dealer replaced mine, they were obviously heat/stress cracks and not road damaged. I dont run them in the rain anymore, i think that is what did them in.

By the way, no problems with dealer, they just said OK and did it. I did mention they might want to call svt about it however (since it was a common problem)

Old Lights To New Lights Conversion

I have a 99 model bumper cover. I am not sure of the year of the fog lights. They are cracked but they still work. I bought the bumper cover and lights from someone else. I am planning to get another set for when they completely bust. How do I know what year model I have and will the newer model fit my cover?

Thanks,
Blake

If you have a 99 bumper cover you would have to use the 99-00 style lights. The newer style ones 01-03 mount differently and I'm not sure anyone has adapted them to fit before. As often as these new style lights crack I'm not sure I would want to spend any money for them.
