Lightning Oil Cooler

Does anyone have a spare engine oil cooler laying around for a 2k 5.4 lightning? Turns out mine was leaking through the coolant and not a head gasket problem. If anyone has one or knows of anyone with a used one and would like to sell it, please email me.

The oil cooler is located right above the oil filter.

Thanks,
Chris

Ruslow removed his entirely and has gone to a standard oil-to-air cooler. He claims that this gives a cooler running engine, as the oil heats the water RETURNING from the radiator. You can use a lower radiator hose from a standard F150.

Just a thought.

From: Colorado,
If your going to use radiator hose for a hot oil line you better check it often.
I have had bad expeirience with doing that.

The high pressure hose is not that much more expensive.

i think he meant if he bypasses the oil cooler he can use an standard f150 lower hose to go from the block to the radiator and not go through the cooler..
