L vs. 300z turbo

A bunch of guys from work are going to the local 1/8 mile track for test and tune april 5. There are going to be many differant cars from a mid 7 second camaro to a extreme s10. We are all going just for kicks when this new kid pipes up that he will go if we will race for money. I ask what he drives, he says 300z twin turbo. I kinda smiled and said I would race him with my truck he replies $100 and I agree. He didnt even ask what kind of truck it is. The 300 has exhaust and an air filter. Guess I will be $100 richer in april.

I don't think people realize what we have. These trucks are plain bad! There aren't many machines that can take a mildly modded L, let alone one with a lot of mods.

I used to race a guy with a twin turbo Z. We raced a few times. They are hard to hook. I would get him off the line no prob, then he would start to close in...but he was running 20psi of boost.
But they are easy to mod, as simple as increasing the boost turns them into monsters. If he is modded watch out.
If he has street tires you will smoke him in the 1/8th no matter what.

Let us know how it goes, my 100 bucks is on you

I should say if he is stock or close to it you will have no problem showing him your tailgate

I took a 300zx TT from a roll up to about 85ish, and had about 5-6 length's on him about 3 nights ago. NOTHING to be worried about!
