Question chipped paint on edge of front fascia???

Well it's been snowing and icing here in Richmond ALOT and I went out in my driveway yesterday and noticed that on the edge of my front fascia where the wheel well is there was a chunk of paint missing. Didnt look like it was scratched off but like it flaked off. Has this happened to any of yall?? If so would I have to take it to the shop to get it fixed or could I do it myself? Thanks in advance for the responses

I dont live in the snow so I dont know if that has anything to do with it...almost sounds like some salt caused it. Enamel doesnt usually just flake off like that unless it has reacted to something chemical or intense heat. It wouldnt be unreasonable to consider that your front end may have been re-painted before you bought your truck. The last truck I had bought new had its whole hood repainted without me knowing...it had aparantly been dented and then fixed before I picked it up. Just a thought...
