My truck is acting up in the cold mornings on start ups it will spit and sputter and die some times, i was told that it was the Idle Air Control Valve and to just remove it and clean it. Well what do i clean anyone got any pics want to make sure i removed the right thing Its the round silver like tube on the left side of the pletum right ?

 

You are correct. It is on the left side of the plenum.

i cleaned mine the other day, piece of cake. just remove with the 2 bolts after disconnecting the iac harness, clean with alcohol and bolt back on. that easy...use plenty of q tips though

 

I cleaned mine when I changed my plugs the other day. I said what the hell and i just took it out and blasted it with some carb and choke cleaner.

 

carb cleaner and an air compressor to blow out the excess
