Lower Pulley

Whats up guys? I have a 2001 L with a 2# upper pulley, and now i want to get the lower. I really want the 4# lower but i understand i would have to have a chip with it. If i get the 2# lower do i still need a chip? What should i expect with this combo on the track? Another option if i want to go interchangeable is to get the 2# now and get the 4# later when i have the money for that and a chip, im only 18. Any suggestions? Experiences? Best prices? All feedback is extremely appreciated.
Thanks

yes you would need a chip being a total of 4# of boost, tuners recommend a chip for anything over an extra 2#. you can expect a fast time from a total of 6# of boost, but make sure you get a safe tune, that being with all that extra boost, a couple of knocks and your rods tend to exit the block pretty violently. btw where is sugar land?

I ran my 4 lber with out a chip and stock plugs for 2 months. No problems I had to put 94 octane gas and some octane booster.
No detenation.
However, be safe and get a chip and a safe tune like cpeapea said.

peace, Suavy

It's near Houston. My younger brother spent some "quality time" in one of their fine state sponsered hotels in 1980...LOL...about 12 months worth of "quality time". I believe they called it the Jasper unit.
