I have one made 12-20 I'm buying and don't want the 4-thread heads for sure.

Thanks

nothing compares to the first time you lay eyes on your new ride..except the 1st time you drive it and lay some rubber down!..I was in denial that I even owned something so cool when I picked her up...I still catch myself staring at it from time to time when its all freshly cleaned and all sitting in my driveway.

head

not all 03's have the 8 threads in the head. This has already been discussed and confirmed. Superfords just got an 03, he works for a dealership and his didn't (unless i read wrong) have any more threads than the 01 he had.

Thanks tundra,

yes,i was just trying to give advice.I personally remember how HARD it was getting one back in 99.My truck was "supposedly" the first my dealer ordered and the last to come in.......

Also,I was the one who bought my 99 drove it 6k miles and sold it to another FORD dealer for more than i paid for it.Right before the 00s came out and the 99s were all gone. They paid me almost sticker for it if i remember correctly and sold it for like $33,000 to a collector.I made out on that but I could not be without one so i IMMIDIATLY orderd a new 00 SOON as I could a couple of months later.Bought it,modded it,blowed it up,blowed up the tranny 4 times and sold it in 01 when i built my house. No sooner was my driveway paved in my new house,I new 02 was sitting in the driveway.I am a DIE HARD LIGHTNING OWNER . I could not stand to be without one.

Lightningquick,

I am glad to hear how dedicated you are to these wonderful trucks, and your advice is well received.

When I bought my first Lightning, they were just flying off the lots, and nothing shy of the truck being delivered on fire would keep me from owning one. So, yes, if I had turned down the truck for nit-picky things back then, I probably couldn't have owned one. I sold my 2001 last year, and hated being without it. This time around, however, I had the opportunity to make the perfect deal and choose the perfect truck. By waiting just a little, I managed to do both. I don't think that makes me less of a Lightning fan, as you implied before. No offense, though. I know where you were coming from. I remember how much you wanted a white one a long time back, when you were using a different name. Yes, I've been following these trucks through this community for a long time and, like you, never want to lose my enthusiasm for these babies.

Thanks for all your best wishes.
