I stopped at a Mobil station on the west side of St. Louis before WFC last year. The pump was broke and I paid about $4 to fill my tank with premium .

Wait till the war starts. Remember what happened at 9/11. I will be suprised if gas ever goes down at this point. How the hell the oil companies get away with their pricing tactics without getting busted for colusion and price-fixing is beyond me.

I wonder if there will ever be a hydrogen powered L.

my 2 cents

If the US takes over Iraqi it will not be part of OPEC and thus Oil price fixing will end, the US Oil companies will be in there and will make tons of money, but hte price will eventually come down after the war.

OK here is my question:

why not temporaily suspend the $0.33/gallon tax on gasoline until after the war? that way the price will be kinda reasonable.

why would they do that? the goverment doesnt care about anything BUT money...the high prices help their campain against Iraq by making us angry with the oil companies. Its kind of like the "state of emergency" we are in...its all part of how they get the public to accept and almost demand a war
