EGR Questions???
Hey All,
Let me give you a little background on my problem. When I installed my new motor I put the wrong vacuum hose on the top of the EGR. It would not stay running. I had to keep my foot on the gas gas to keep it running. Found what I did wrong and fixed the routing.
Now my truck idles rough and you can smell that it is running extremely rich. I have changed all my plugs and coil packs. Sometimes when I first take off up the road (1/4) throttle the truck will stumble like it runs out of fuel...I can push the throttle to 3/4 and it will accelerate through the stumble and run fine.
I was wondering if the egr can go bad. Are there moving parts in the valve? Also I clean my IAC valve with some throttle body cleaner...when i fill it up it will leak out of the round cap on it.
