I've been running a 2lb.'er for a few months now w no chip. Seeing about 12psi on my Autometer gauge in the colder weather. No pinging/problems at all. I am interested in swapping in a 4lb.'er, but do not want a chip and I'm not real interested in changing plugs either.
Thanks

no i'm running it20's
I started with a 2-3lb Upper and felt the additional boost immediatly, however like everyone is saying, it's kinda like a tease to feel more boost but only a little more boost.
So within a couple of weeks I ordered a 4 Lower and went with a total of 6 lbs additional boost.
NOW THAT YOU'LL FEEL
Now I got Juice too, you always want more
Just ask 99svtlightning, he knows what boost feels like,
BTW 99, Awesome Web Site, Amazing Times, and a Truly Hot Lighting

we ran a 2# pulley for a while with no other mods and got a 13.4 et. compared to 13.9 no mods (verry little practice). good 60 ft. but had to peddal it. we are running a 6# now with lots of mods no et. yet ; waiting for f.f.w. in orlando. i have heard some people had to get different belts for the 2# , we did not.
I have 4 differant belts and I'm not sure Why
Lets see
Stock
Gator For 4 Lb Only
Gator For 2 Lb Only
Gator For 4 LB + 2Lb
And everyones right, I can probaly do it all with the stock belt and have saved $100.00

i wouldn't run any pulley without tuning the truck for it, but everyone has their own opinion when it comes to this. I ran a 2lb with my mods and noticed a considerable difference, i'm gonna throw the 4lb ring on and see how i like it, hopefully, my block likes it.

Definetely talk to your tuner about tunings for pulleys though. Especially if you live where it gets pretty cold.

I think running a little (up to 4#) extra boost is safe. The reason is because the mass air sensor (MAF) will see the extra air being forced into the engine and compensate by adding fuel. But I have not done this yet so I have no proof.
BUT I will be doing it this weekend so I will let you keep you guys updated!

i had a question. I have the 2# upper and i want a lower now. If i get the 2# lower in addition, is it the same as having a 4# lower by itself? would it be dangerous to get a 4# lower in addtion to my 2# upper without a chip if i only go to the track maybe once/month at most?
I don't think I would run a 2# upper and a 4# lower W/O a chip. That will give you a total of over 6# of additional boost due to the smaller upper. What does it take to peg the MAF at 5V anyway?
I do believe that 4# additional boost is ok w/o a chip, but I will not be able to determine that for sure for a few more days when I actually install my 4#er. You read a lot of stuff but don't know for sure until you actually try it.
Good luck!
