On my way home, just gettinf off the freeway, my engine temp went wayyy hot, like it maxed out the guage, my engine temp light went on, and my service engine soon light came on. Now I know this has to be some sort of a glitch because your engine doesnt go from the middle of the guage(about 180º) to it being maxed out instantly. So I put the car in nuetral, turned off the motor and turned it back on, and the engine temp was normal but the ses light was still on. I plugged in autotap and got a lot more codes then expected but here are the few im worried about:

P1299 - Cyl Head Over Temp Protection Enabled
P1285 - Cyl Head Over Temp Condition
P0712 - Trans Fluid Temp Sens Low Inp
P0460 - Fuel Level Sensor Circuit

now the first two codes i think were just a glitch. the third code I have no idea about that one, and the 4th code has been there ever since I got the truck back from the shop. What do you guys think?

 

Do a search, someone had the same exact symptoms as you not to long ago.
