Question Do I Need A Chip???

I have a Stock 99 L, with and oil breather and a boost bypass. I just got it 2 weeks ago. Going to be getting everything that doesnt need a chip before i get the good stuff.
Do I need a chip for:

factory tech valve body?
373 gears?
5" driveshaft?
Electric Fan with Cobra water pump?

Thanks Guys
Mike

No. Your mph will be off with the gear switch though.

Never liked how my truck ran with a breather, so I don't have one any longer. But a chip can take care of your gear thing and also get you some horsepower if you're tuner has a clue...

You don't need a chip for the oil breather, but Sal showed me a hose he recommended plugging up. Don't remember the name of it though I could point it out. Maybe someone else around here can help you.

Since your mph will be off without a chip and the 3:73 gears I'd recommend getting a buddy to drive at the same speed as you to get an idea of where you're at just in case there is a cop around
