Drag Radials vs Hoosier DOT

I am trying to decide on Nitto 555r's in 305/45/18 vs getting a set of 16" x 8" cheap wheels and Hoosier DOT 28/10/16 Drag Slicks. How long wil the 555r's last on the street?
Do the 555r's work much better than the F1's on the street.
Is the hassle of changing wheels at the track worth it?

Yes it will be if your comparing Hoosiers to Nitto's. It only takes like 5 minutes to swap wheels It is not that much of a hassle.

If you go with the Hoosier 28x10-16 or the 28x11.5-16 QTP I would recomend going with a 16x10 wheel. It will give the tire a flatter footprint and help the truck launch better.

Here is a pic of the two Hoosiers

28x10-16 slicks on Bogart wheels
28x11.5-16 on Eagle Alloy wheels
Both are 16x10 rims.
