Gotta question I have been debating cutouts on the L for some time now and really miss the wicked loudness of open pipes however I've read you previous thread about your setup and was curious if there is any particular reason that you ran them before your cats as opposed to after? on my previous f bodies I always ran it after the cat. And was assuming I'd do the same on the L...Can you shed some light..Also is it neccasary for me to have 2 cutouts?

well i wanted to get the cats out of the way for basically mostly offroad use, and i wanted them to be loud as possible. i figure if im bypassing everything it might be good for a few hp. it sounds crazy awesome at WOT!!!! but it will **** of the neighbors. im actually planning to move the cats back and move the cutouts back a few inches so when i put my longtubes on there i can dump straight headers if i wanted to...now thats gonna be loud!!

it is necessary also to have 2 cutouts, (i also have after market hi-flow cats, without them i dont think your going to be able to get them to fit) i have pics in my gallery if you can make them out

i also put them ahead of the cats because the guy recommended it (which is odd) i happily agreed because thats were i wanted them to go anyways. if you crawl under your truck theres not a whole lotta space for you to put a cutout other than infront of the cat without doin a whole lot of weird exhaust work (its pretty wierd on its own)

Thanx for the reply

I was out there looking under the truck and your right it looks to be a pain with the stock cats I have now. I was planning on running them before the muffler and after the cats... I curently have a maganflow muffler installed and it look like there would be just enough room to mount a pair of flowtech's if memory serves I forget about how big they are. I remember seeing a post awhile back about some one o here who was running them before the magnaflow. You happen to know who that was as I'm sure pictures of his setup would be really helpful.

well you could probably have it done easily at a local muffler shop, i have the flowtechs as well, but when they put them on they actually cut them down a little bit. im not entirely sure who posted the pics but i will post one in a min to show you how they cut them down
