in the case of a major warrenty claim, say engine failure, who actually decided whether it will be covered, the dealership, or the inspection team that ford sends out. What does the inspecion team look at/for??? What does the dealer look at/for??

 

I believe the inspectors make the final decision. If you plan on bringing in a truck with a blown motor I would change the computer if it was ever "chipped" because I know they look for that. I don't think a dealer has too much say in a big warranty claim like that. Oh yeah also make sure all the mods are off the truck. -Mat-

 

Where would you get a computer from and how much? I used to have a used 00L and when I bought It from the dealer I went to put a chip in it and the terminals had already been scraped. Also it said remanufactured on the computer tag.

and it came with the contacts already cleaned, so
WTF can they say about that?

 

maybe they would cut you a break if it shown up on your OASIS report (I think thats what you call it?) that you had a new computer put in?
