Nope

It's called a mechanics lein. Whoever did work on the car essentially owns the car until the bill is paid. It's entirely seperate from the warranty (which would just be a method of you paying).

If you steal your car back from the mechanic you are in deep **** with the police.

nope your wrong.Specially if he did not sign a work order. And there are legal ways around what you are stating. Its called IMPLIED warranty.he bought it new it has xxx miles and it is covered under factory warranty until a court says differentNow if ford cancelled your warranty,They legally cannot. They do but if someone took the effort on fightning it,it can be overtaken. Now same applys to this situation. Its fords time to sue twisted which WONT happen

Note to self. Do not hire Lightningquick as my lawyer. You sound like the lady that has been refusing to pay her taxes for several years and have advised others that they aren't legally obligated to do it either. She is now looking at jail time.

Boy I hope it is true, that Twisted99 walked in and picked up his pickup

Jeff from Daphne stole his L from the Ford place. He came in and jumped in it and ran. The bill was like 7,000 he didn't pay. Police have a warrant out for his arrest.

Ya'll formulate your own opinions....

If you think I can't think for myself....

you have another think comin'

I have done nothing wrong.

Slander me all you like...

Insinuate all you like..

I have offered myself and My truck to the local authorities.

I have commited no infraction of any law willingly or knowingly...

Deal with It...I am.

work order?

Every time I've been to the dealer they've made me sign a work order. And I'm certain that if there was $7000 in work, he signed something.

You are always liable for the work done. A warranty does not mean you don't have to pay. Think of your warranty as insurance. If you have an insurance claim, you still have to pay. Your insurance company may have made arrangements to directly pay the person replacing your goods, but you are still liable.

Anyway. I'd love to know the actual story...

WOW, so you did go get it without paying the dealer for their work. BRAVO!!! BTW, I believe everyone is praising you, not criticizing you.

This is definitely a civil matter now, not criminal.

Man, I guess you have a lot of guts, but I think this story is a long way from being over and I don't think the outcome is going to be pretty for you. I know my dads shop wouldn't have let it go. Good luck. My advice is, get a good lawyer and hope for the best.

Holy Sh#t man...you have some serious big *****.......

Go get em man....good luck to ya. I want to see you win this one. Maybe some media attention to bring the whole issue of plugs/rods to the front pages would help Ford to knock of the warranty **** program. "No Soup For You"

Just to titillate...

I have taken the vehicle to another Ford Lincoln Mercury Delership
and had each individual PCM tested. I watched as the WDS recognized each. The Pats related to each and the vehicle started and ran with each PCM. The new one and the original. I have this documentation..just in case I need some toilet paper....

I wasn't throwing any slander towards you, Hell, I was praising you, if what is said, is true.

If you took anything that I said personally, please accept my apologizes

I just find it hard to believe that after the dealers have been putting the screws to customers for so many years, something hasn't been done like that before. ***NOTE*** Iam NOT talking about voiding a warranty when the truck or car has been modded to the extreme or shooting a large amount of nitrous thru the motor...........A few mods and small amounts of nirtrous should be allowed
