Straight Pipes

Whats going on everyone, I have a little money saved up for my L when I get it, any opinon about straight pipes?....they sound just awful on Chevys, (very dirty sound), but what do they sound like on Lightnings?....any power loss because of no back pressure, or not?

I think they sound just like the S.B. system.

I had the opportunity to listen to cyntaxx's straight pipe setup on Tuesday. Just in his parking stall however, not on the road (less than desireable conditions)

At idle they sound AWESOME. Blipping the throttle was also enjoyable to the ears.

Hopefully he'll capture (and share) audio of a WOT flyby.

Speeding Bob hooked me up with a 2.5" stainless steel aftercat system....no muffler just pipes. Sounds great at idle and pretty nice on the street. there is a slight drone though, which gets worse if you have your windows open. However i dont mind and rather listen to my exhaust than the crappy stereo anyway.

at WOT it's an aural orgasm!!

I'll try to get clips as soon as the weather starts to comply. you better have tissues or a towel ready though
