Wet Plug, Problems?

We were changing the plugs today and when we pulled the front drivers side plug the boot on the coil pack had condensation and was steaming. Then we pulled the plug and it seemed to be coated with oil and water. Is this common, I am getting ready to install a pulley/chip/plugs and don't need any other problems. I can if needed take it to Ford now, since I don't really have any engine mod's at this time. Here are some pictures, thanks in advance.

Brent

loose coilpack? The oil/water may ground it to your head.....which isn't good.

and was steaming.

Was your eng. 'hot' when you pulled the plugs? That's not good for the head threads. The oil may(?) have been running out of the intake boot/tube?

I agree, a loose coilpack could have contributed to the condensation as I washed the engine recently. But that has nothing to do with the build up of oil on the plug?

I pulled the coil packs when the engine was still warm, but waited to pull the plug until the engine was cool.

You can plainly see the PLUG ITSELF is wet
FROM INSIDE THE CYLINDER
NOT GOOD zrwhat, NOT GOOD AT ALL
You got a major problem

The only other possibility is ""IF""
that plug was loose enough that something leaked on it from the top and went in the cylinder, Unfortunatly I'd say you got a cracked ring or bad or bent valve

EITHER WAY, SHOW FORD THE PLUGS AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

Please let us know what you find out AND GOOD LUCK
I pray I'm wrong

Thanks Rob. I installed the Denso's, so I will run it a week and pull that plug. All the plugs on the drivers side were hardly more than finger tight. The passenger side were tight, only becuase I just had a new head installed a month ago. I will have to hold off on the Mod's till I get this figured out.

I have however read of other trucks with the same problems?
