Truck fixed????? Well the jury is still out…

A couple weeks ago my truck had a whistle/belt slip noise around 1700 rpm, and my dealer said it was the S/C and they put one on order for me.
Well I took it in for repair and they called by 10:00 am, didn’t take them long. I went to go pick the truck up and the bill said that the S/C shown gear wear, so I asked to see it. Well the two roots/veins for lack of better terms had a shinny spot on each edge about an 1 ½ inches long, I’m sure that’s not normal but what do you guy’s think it was rubbing on, the case? Anyway I just barely heard the whistle/belt slip noise on the way into work this morning, so I’m not so sure it’s fixed.
On the good side of this I talked to the service manager and he said they turn a blind eye to mods but he doesn’t make decisions on blown motors and such. Ford makes those decisions.

I had a few when I took my stock EATON off at 24,000. It had been spun with a 6lber most of the time and made no noise though....

I'm not so sure that's what was making my noise either...
