6# pulley on a daily driver?

Any of you using 6# pulleys on your daily driven L's?

I'd like to know how your experience has been with that. Would you reccomend it to others?

TIA.

I have a 6# on mine. Just started driving it daily. With the right tune and plugs you will be happy.

Stay out of the throttle cause you will use a lot more gas!

I have a 6lb pulley and many other goodies on the truck with nary a problem as a daily driver. It's all in the tune.

I make it to the track as often as possible too, Sunday I ran a 12.17@109.

I have a 6 lb on mine....so far so good. I am a member of the safe tune club also.

You could get one side with a nice fat street program and get the other side for an agressive 96 octane for the track. Drive it to the track on fumes and put some 100 octane in it for racing.

I have a 4# lower, and a 1# upper, and my auto meter lunar boost guage reads 16# at full throttle, I love it and do not have any problems daily driven, I just don't drive it in bad weather..

I run a #6 pulley with a very aggressive chip and a boost accumulator upgrade in the tranny. Be prepared to go thru a bunch of gas but its definatly fun. I find it hard not to get into the throttle. Shifting into second is pretty rough at low speed but its all worth it when some one wants to play at a stop lite.

I compared my old HKS gauge to Mike's(mrinaldi) brandy new Autometer Luner and they were within 1 # of each other at WOT.

Just because you are adding a pulley called a 4# pulley, it doesn't mean you are getting exactly 4#. Heck, when I put my cold air intake on with a stock pulley, the boost increased 1-2 pounds just from that.

That's why I said i'd throw you a lb for ****s and giggles........

I still think your boost guages are not correct. If you could get 6lbs out of a 4lber, why spend the extra money for a 6??????

You shure you don't have a 2lb upper???
