Had a GY F-1 go bad on me while up in Ohio. Had GY patch the pinhole but the inside casing had a split near the sidewall and they said it might not hold air. They were right. Tried anopther shop and a bigger patch was put on. Still leaked! Since i had to go back to Virginia i bought a new F-1. GY price was $233 plus mount ,balance and tax, for total of $265. @ weeks later i found Toyo's for $199 mounted and balanced. Next tires!!-Jim

Exactly what he said, i think that GY F1's are not worth the money, i think that the Toyo's serve the same purpose for less. and the kumho's and other tires are better, for alot better price.

Goodyear is a racket.

When I replaced the eagles on my Mustang GT I went to another local tire shop and got Pirrellii's

When I replaced the generals on my F150 (which were crap) I went to Discount tire and got generic Michelins for alot less.

I guess I did not even get a fair deal...

I'll research tires/prices/brands more, maybe I'll go with the Toyo's. Could I mix brands on the L (front and backs)? I don't see a reason why I can't.
Since I have the two new GoodYears I just got, I will need the other two before rainy season.
I left the old F1s on the back and with the FTVB just installed I may need them even sooner.

It's not a good idea to mix different tires. It can be done, but the ride will suffer as each type of tire has its own unique tread pattern, even within the same brand. I'm sure you could find somebody to give you a reasonable price for your Goodyears, and the Toyos are an excellent choice.

I bought some Nitto 555 from Discount Tire Direct. 200 each. Had them mounted/balanced for 12.00 each here in Tampa. Got a few small scratches as well.... I thought Goodyear and Nitto were the only two types of 295.45.18.
