Ford sent out an Independent Contractor..Scape Goat..I mean to assess the damage.....Twice he visited my friendly Dealer. The engine had no mods on it. The PCM contacts were brass...This is Not My definition of Ford's statement....they reply when asked....PCM Tampering... I asked for a definition of "PCM tampering".....The Ford Customer Service Joke Line is indeed comical. Each Time I called to inquire after warranty they ask for an elaborate explanation of what happen. Each time the web they weaved of intrigue. I was questioned in so many ways by so many Customer Service Individuals all the while with the cute little disclaimer playing in the background...."Your call may be recorded for Continuous Improvement reasons".

As the owner of several Ford Products and past Owner of even more, never having this situation crop up is disconcerting. I have spoken with the SVT Hotline as well. They seemed to have a much better grasp on Customer Service and genuine concern.
While I have yet to recieve the return call from SVT I do expect much more eloquent replys.

Having spoken with The Alabam State Attorney Generals office I
am confident I will reach a satisfactory resolution. Not that a behemoth bully like Ford is being fair and playing by the law.

It is so invigorating to have meaning in my life again.

get 'em good!! you better believe if ford was trying to screw me over even if i DID have mods (which i dont) i'd be trying to put up the fight of a lifetime!

 

Do what i did on one of the Cobras. Request they send out a District Service Manager.

Also, taking it to another dealer wont hurt.

Tennessee department of consumer affairs didn't want to hear my story.

I tried and tried to get Ford to reverse their decision with me and it didn't work. Good luck with your fight. Ask Ford to send you dispute resolution paperwork.

When they voided my warranty it showed in the Oasis report, however one year later my report says nothing concerning an engine warranty void.

Herein lies a big problem.
Those of us that have a stock L will be under suspicion of modding and I'm sure Ford suspects ALL L owners. Guilty until proven innocent (good luck).
It makes you want to start modding your truck, because you know your warranty is ***** anyway.

For those of you that are still under warranty you may want to reconsider any and all posts containing all the mods you have or are contemplating -

you may want to jettison those sig lines containing all the information about your mods as it is at the tips of Mother Fords fingers with the stroke of the internet keyboard...

However, if you run covertly on this board then disregard my warning - but if there is even the hint of traceability in your email or your profile I urge you to become very paranoid, very fast ...

My definition of PARANOID = " Paranoid - is an overhieghtened sense of awareness" it doesn't take much to find things out when you want too... just a thought ...
