I was told yesterday that Ford would be glad to sell me a new long block and install it if I bought and installed a new PCM.
They will only include the worthless warranty if I went this route...

Funny ****.

The Bill...a paltry $8000.00

And still have to worry chitty rods & spitting plugs

I bet 8K would buy a built shortblock and a set of bad-*** heads with more than 4 threads

This probably won't be greeted warmly, but here goes....

Why would anyone overboost by up to 8lbs in pullies alone, shoot NX, and change shift points on a stock bottom end then sing the blues about Ford not "standing behind their product." I'm not pointing at anyone in particular, just making a reasonable generalization.

Admittedly, I haven't followed the plug launching problem that closely, but it's been my understanding that this hasn't happened to a stock L yet....correct?

I sympathize with those who have blown motors, but it's on you if you didn't build your bottom end first. It's the Lightning's inability to handle much more than the horsepower that it comes with that's beginning to make my decision to trade on a '03 Cobra that much easier.

Wow ... First you flame a really nice guy that lost the use of
his legs in an accident, now you admitting that you're just
not paying attention ... Fantastic start ... and only 300 posts!!!
