Interesting TSB list...

Gang,

Stumbled across this while browsing a non-L forum and wasn't sure if this had been posted previously.

Worth a look nonetheless.

A checklist if you will.

Good grief!

James,

That one struck me as odd also (no pun intended)

However, these are interesting...

02-2-3 FEB 02 Engine - Aluminum Block/Head Machining
02-1-4 JAN 02 Engine Head Gasket - Approved Replacement Procedures
02-21-13 OCT 02 Engine - Cylinder Head Straightedge Surface Check

source of oil leak on passenger side. hmmm

Thanks for the "data"...I have experienced customer satisfaction.....I have addressed the warpped block and or cylinder head gasket fix production line halt and so on....I have first hand experience. having owned a 1993 Lightning and enjoying it I have racked up 3 Gen II's. The first had 7000 on it
when it went away. It knocked on start up..and gradually quieted down..trust Us They said..
The second Gen II factory engine was replaced with a crate motor due to Issues with manufacturing that never was recalled just sorta ..kinda almost accepted...sorry I mean admitted by My favorite Manufacturer.
Believe me..the rules Have changed..Ford is looking to squeeze the margins..and customers are in that margin.
How long does it take me to get the gist and reciprocate...
I have 5 Fords in My driveway..

Could be time to start thinning the herd.....

What's missing? Plug spitting!!! We have enough reports just on this board to warrant a TSB. maybe they figured there was nothing that could be done about it short of a head redesign.

Another glaring omission--piston slap.
