Unhappy Blown Engine

I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH. I THREW THE #7 ROD ON MY 2002 LIGHTNING, 7800 MILES ON IT AND THEY WERE EASY MILES. I HAD A STAGE 2 KIT PUT ON THE TRUCK BY JDM OF FREEHOLD NEW JERSEY, REPLACED ALL THE STOCK PARTS BEFORE I BROUGHT IT TO DEALER. THEY INSPECTED THE PCM, DENIED WARRANTY-MY BILL $6300. I WISH I KNEW HOW AND WHERE TO FIGHT FORD ON THIS, I AM AT A LOSS MYSELF.

TOOK PHOTOS OF PCM, FOUND "EVIDANCE" OF TAMPERING, ( COVER WAS BACK ON ) DENIED WARRANTY. ANY HELP ON HOW TO GET FORD TO REPAIR THIS ENGINE, WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I AM LOOKING AT A $6400. Dude, I feel your pain....What dealer did you take it to???You should have asked peoples opinions first about which dealers are mod friendly and which ones aren't...The problem is that Big Blue is cracking down on warranty repair with these trucks, and none of the service reps want to lose their jobs...Anyway, good luck with fighting them, and I hope all turns out well....

P.S.....Turn your caps lock off...Around here that is considered yelling and most people don't like that...I know you are just venting about your truck, but you will probably get alot more responses if you tone down a little

A used 01/02 complete Lightning engine for $3600
Thats sounds like a great deal.

Prodigal Son, while it sure does suck to experiance a blown motor, I hope you can get back on the road with the least amount of problems. And I'll keep my judgement to my self

Oh boy could this open up a can of worms...What has been said here many times before if you play you have to pay. The fact that you already have been denied leaves you with a few options. Replace stock or go built. I would get a built motor since you are already paying for another engine and really it's not that much more money. You don't happen to know what your timing and A/F's were do you? Just curious...
