mustang prob

me and a friend are trying to install an bassani xpipe on a 98 gt mutang and we cant seem to get the right side exhaust manifold bolts off, any advice? also exactly what size is the bolt? thanks for any help

If i remember correctly, it was a 17mm. Squirt the **** out of it with WD-40 or liquid wrench. Theres like a gasket on the passenger side. Most of the time, you will need a impact gun with a swivel to get it un-done.

If you got one hell of a breaker bar, get it out.. Those suckers are on reallll tight.

well i think its closer to 18 but im having trouble with the lower pass. side i have a swivel and cant get the damned thing off

Like he said, squirt the hell out of it with nutbuster. When I changed the Cobra exhaust it wouldn't budge even with an impact. The guy squirted nutbuster on it and in a few minutes it came off so easy I asked him if he had stripped the head off.

First get some Iron III Oxide, Then mix it evenly with Powdered aluminum. lace the bolts with this mixture and get a magnesium strip to light it. don't look at it nor stand by it wehn u light, and bolt will be burn to nothing.

thanks for the suggestions guys, i got it last night thanks to yall. now my friend saved himself 100$ by us putting his offroad x-pipe in (which sounds sweet) and i got some experience when i plan to do my own exhaust on my L.
