Got some more goodies for my Lightning

Ordered the Porter Cable 7424 Polisher from Coastal Tool. They had the cheapest price I could find. Also ordered a Pad kit from ProperAutoCare. 4 pads and terry bonnets i think. Can't wait for this stuff to come in and for the weather to warm up. I'll reserve a Saturday morning/afternoon and wash her up nice. Then i'll make her shine!!

Also installed my billet AC *****. nice and shiny!

no pics though cuz i can't add in the f150 galleries

You will lowve the porter-cable. the 3-4 setting is all you need for putting on and removing wax. no sense in creating more heat than you need to.

Make sure you use the hook & loop pad for buffing, it will transfer less heat to the paint surface.

If you've never used

one of those before BE EXTREMLY careful or you'll be getting a paint job faster than you'd like -

If those get away from you you'll burn right thru the clear and right down to the sheet metal lickedy split-

don't drink and use that buffer ...

practice on your wife or girlfriends car

my CC is not a problem. i could buy another lightning with the limit...(i roll on platinum baby ). its the bill that won't allow me to spend the money

i've pretty much decided i'm going rtkilla's route, but with 4 IDQ 10s and an amp rack in the middle with a memphis st1000d and a memphis 4 ch. because they're small and hopefully i can make everything fit.

Is this just an assumption or is this experience? It is VERY hard to cause damage with the Porter Cable DA...

Only way this will equal half the destroying power of a high speed buffer is the use of a wool pad.. It still doesnt spin fast enough and is Dual Action.

I've been told that i should keep it moving and just let the buffer do the job and not hold it in one spot for too long or it will burn off the clearcoat. however i don't think it will burn right to the sheet metal that quick...but i will definitely be careful. and i will practice first on my altima...although its harder to see the results on a tan car.

Rob: thanks! keep us all updated on the zex system. did you order it already? i wanted to run nitrous but i'm still too scared to....

if i did i would get a big decal that said "ZEXY"
