Get a Snap-on, it's the last torque wrench you'll ever need.

I use CRAFTSMAN TWrench's and have for several years servicing my vehicle's and Harly (M/C). I'd recommend the digitork 250lb one for your use (truck) (I know my 2002 lugs torque at 150 ft lbs) and it's not good to go limit on a wrench IMO and the next size down is 150lb). They cost $100 and watch for sales and get it even cheaper. Also, i use and travel with a 10 inch long 1/2" breaker bar with a deep socket and 2" ext for loosening the lugs pretty easy Gator. Hope this helps, see ya at Cecil, John.

The Craftsman are ok. Their torque wrenches only have a 1 year warranty...not lifetime.

Craftsman too--you can take it back to Sears and they will ship it off to be recalibrated--was $25 a few years ago.

Thanks for all the answers peeps

My last one was a Snap-On that Iam guessing is older than most members here. No dis-respect, but just stating that I know quality tools LAST. It was made before clickers went click. The best thing was that it had a rotating face so you could recalibrate it yourself The worst thing was you had to be in a position to read the face........

Guess I'll go to Sears and see what they have before the stinkin snow arrives
I know as soon as I go buy another one, my old one will show up

Thanks again for everyones replies

Gator, what are you up to
Same as you Rob, my friend.......
Keeping up with the jones

Can anyone give a good reccomendation for a torque wrench in the $100 price range. I know what a good one costs, and I don't want to get in that price range. I just need to torque down a few things in the 40/50/60 ft lb range. And probably torque my wheels every once in a while
Yo Gator....I have a crafstman tq wrench, and a snap-on inch/lbs wrench, If you need them in a hurry you can use them anytime....Call me...

Thanks Mike

Went to Home Depot to see what they have for torque wrenches........then went to sears. Had a Christmas present (7 1/4" circular saw) that I took back and got a store credit that I applied towards a Craftsman torque wrench. So I came out smelling like a rose

One side done.......on to the other side, after I warm up a bit
