throtle body problem

I ported my spare factory TB. I took the shaft out and cut it then i reinstalled it. I put it on today before i went to the track. I got to the end of my road and the truck was not shifting till like 3500 at normal driving. I turned around and went home and reinstalled the factory TB. I then went back on my way to the track. truck iwas fine then. i get to the track and it starts raining good thing it is only 10 minutes from the house. What could i have done wrong to the TB while I took the shaft out to port it? Truck runs like crap with it on but fine with stock one. is this the TPS voltage or a bad TPS in general.also the ported one did work before i ported it.

We need more info: Describe "cut it" in more detail. It shifted at 3,500 at every shift? Tell us more completely what you did to the th/body and exactly what happened as you drove it.

i pulled out of my driveway applied normal throtle it then didnt shift until 3000-3500 and when it did it was harsh it did it to third then i tunred around and creeped home it doing it on the return trip to.
When porting:
I took the shaft out of the TB and cut one side of the shaft off. I cut where the butterflys goes in between the two pieces of the shaft. shaft is still in one piece. When i reinstalled it didnt want to go back together but it finally did. just ask if any more info is needed.

That sure sounds like a tps issue (which also does control some transmission functions). Set your voltage.

TPS screws

No they aren't. They are tight but should break loose fairly easy. Important to set it right.
