Damn it RTKilla, you got me thinking about 4-12's behind the seat now. I'm happy with the thunderform but........Hey I do have 2 18" Cerwin Vega Strokers!!!! Somehow I don't think they would fit. Nice looking project .

That's looking real good Joe. Feel free to whip up a box for 2 12's for my truck while you're at it!

Thanks guys,

I was thinking about 12's but from my past experiences with 12's they sound allot better with the windows open for the wave to expand so I didn't want to do that. The IDQ 12's are great small enclosure subs too.

Cyntaxx, Give me some dimensions of what you want to do and I'll let you know. The IDQ's are good subs, but you need tol put atleast 250RMS for them to sound really good, and 300 makes them sound even better.

Unoid, There airdale terriors. I've had them since I was a little kid, well that breed of dog anyway. There fun and really intelligent dogs, They used to be british police dogs back in the day.

That's the only way to roll out here in Cali, windows down so everyone can listen to what you are playing on the stereo!

Yep nasty nulls. Amazing what happens when you give the truck a 'port' then you become the inside of the bandpass enclosure. If you ever get bored you can actually play some nifty games with window position. By opening and closing the window you are 'tuning' or rather the frequency you get a bump at. THats exactly what i ran into with teh 4 tens. Had to do with the amount of space i was displacing the with box, and the Q of the subs.

Anyways trial and error is fun!! Took 4 diffearnt types of sub changes to get mine sounding good. Now begins the 3-4 12's, and the custom amp rack that resides under the truck =)..

i believe the memphis amp i'm looking at (st1000d) puts out about 1100 watts at 1 ohm....should be enough?

i'll find the dimensions of the amp and get back to you. did you space those IDQs as close as they can be? would spacing them closer on each side some more be possible? the reason is i am trying to see if the amp will fit where your middle sub is..but i think its a bit longer than 12 inches....

Yeah you could do that with my setup easy. That box is 60 inches wide, and you could go 61 inches if you had the guts too.

that would give you 10.5 + 10.5 +.75 inchs on one side. 21.75" total x 2 is 43.5" of woofer space. so you got 16.5 inches of space to do a cut out in the box and slide the amp under it like my last box. no problem it can be done, and 1100 watts should be just enough to do it.
