The pinging can also be caused by "carbon build-up" in the heads from allot of stop n go driving. If you will run a couple of bottles of Techron thru a couple of tank fulls of gas the pinging may cease. Has worked for me several times in several different vehicles!! Nothing to lose by trying but about 5 bucks per bottle!
