What's up with Los Angeles L owners today?

Any time I pass another L I always give a thumbs-up and most of the time I get the same back. Yesterday I passed a nice true blue L going in the opposite direction on Sunset Blvd. in Brentwood and we both did a thumbs up at the same time. That's always satisfying ...makes you feel like you're part of something special...

Now is it just me imagining this or does anyone else notice this is happening less and less?

Take today for example...I crossed paths with four (that's right...4) other Ls, and not a single one of them gave the thumbs-up back.

What's the world coming to?

Thumbs down

There is a "person" in the town I work in that has a silver Lightning that is the same way. I have waved at him and given him thumbs up more times then I care to remember with no response. My brother has a Lightning also and waves and gets no response also. I have even stopped next to him when he was sitting at a red light to say "Hi" and he wouldn't roll down the window. Lets just say I don't like that character anymore.

I mean show some pride in what you have. Geez. -Mat-

I'm in La and I have noticed the same thing, most of the time I have to initialize the thumbs up motion to get them to do it also but sometimes they will already be doing it. Maybe I have seen you before kobiashi, I'm in a red 2002 L.

I've got a Red 2002 also. The only other Red Ls I've seen around are one guy I've come across 3 times in the Marina del Rey area (he never returns the " the thumbs up ") and one I've seen in the Palos Verdes area. Red seems to be quite rare around these parts.

Wouldn't happen to be you would it?

Seems that most of the Ls around here are Black with a few Silver thrown in for good measure.

I live in cincinnati and never 'cross paths' with any other L's. Be happy you see 'others' - even if they don't acknowledge the most bad a$$ vehicle on the road.

It ain't no vette...even vette owners kind of stopped doing that. The older people still do it but not the punks.

I think what ticks me off more about the Lightning owners of today, especially those in the Southern California Area, have failed to recognize that we have our own Socal Chapter of the National Lightning Owners Club. We have a lot of cool members with lots of resources.

Maybe the Lightning there're driving don't belong to them and they are afraid we'll find out.:
