TPS % question

Hey guys,

I was wondering what % the TPS should be open @ WOT?

I tested mine last night with the Snap-on scanner and it read 91% @ WOT- 19.6% @ idle
Is that normal or should I try to adjust it?

All TPS reports need a cover sheet!

If you want to check it without a scanner, pull the intake off and have someone press the gas pedal all the way down and look at the TB.

I had scanned mine a while ago but forgot what the TPS % was, I'd offer to re-scan and let you know tonight, but the weather isn't up for a WOT run.

To check for a correct TPS setting/adjustment, you do a voltage test.

Of course, you want the throttle plate(s) completely open at WOT, but the TPS probably will not be at 100%. If it were, it might/would end up putting a bind in the throttle shaft and could prevent the plate(s) from being able to go completely open.

Thanks Rob.

Under 1.0 Volt is with the throttle blade closed.
At WOT the voltage will be creeping up on 5.0 volts.
