Trust me when I say thats the least of the reasons why you wouldn't want to live here

Btw......I normally start the pump myself, instead of waiting for the __________(insert your own description) to start the pump. They **** n moan about it, but wtf, I still got to pay the same price

You also cant pump the gas yourself either in Oregon.. felt really weird, and the guys yelled at us for trying.. go figure.. they could have sat on their lazy a$$es while we did it..

I do the same on the L. Sometimes though when it is 5 degrees out or pouring rain, it is nice to actually pay less than other states for gas and never have to get out of your warm car to pump it.

I get 94 octane @1.73 a gallon.

Hopefully I can talk the owner of the station to put in "racing fuel" tanks @ the sunoco. (he has them at all the other one he owns)

Prices vary county to county here in California, but I paid $1.97 for Union 76 "Premium" this weekend in Atwater, the same fuel one city over in a different county is $1.85

Its obvious that the gas stations feel they can rip the consumer off by inflating gas prices on the threat of war in Iraq... I live in Fairfax County, and Premium is going for about 1.78/gallon. If I travel 2 miles down the road into Prince William County I buy premium for 1.56-1.60/gallon. You can guess where I buy my gas

Here are my reasons for/against living in NJ:

Pros:

1. Cool People
2. Great Pizza
3. Great Bread
4. JDM

Cons:

1. Terrible Roads
2. Tolls everywhere
3. Traffic circles
4. High Taxes
5. "Upscale" Restaurants that make you bring your own alcohol

Sunoco Ultra 94 = $1.79/gallon
Unleaded Torco 104 = $3.59/gallon

There are 3 gas stations within 10 miles of my house that sell the Torco 104 at the pump.........ah the advantages of living in the "Motor City"
Hell now that I think about it probably 40% of the stations by my house have high octane gas but they all have Torco 110 or 114 which is leaded.

I LOVED the way mt truck smelt when burning 104. Just smells like it is fast. However I HATED when my chrome wheels would turn blue on the drive home from the track.

I have seen as high as $1.81 for 93, but paid $1.55 here in Trenton area NJ. Love not pumping, but wonder how much cheaper our gas would be if we had to.

It's not the stations, it comes from the producers (Chevron, Shell, Mobil etc.). The wholesale price of gas has been going up steadily over the last couple weeks. Gas stations would have a hard time inflating prices because there are to many of them. All it would take is a few of them to lower their price to get more volume and the others would have to follow suit.

And yes, Oregon sucks as it doesn't allow self serve. The same gas across the river in Washington is about $.06 to$.08 gallon cheaper as they have self service. We've had it on the ballot a few times, but it keeps getting voted down.
